Scripture Union Trip to Portrush

The Larne Grammar School Scripture Union ended the year on a high note, some of us literally on top of the Beast Ride in Curry’s Portrush!  On Saturday 22nd June we took the train to Portrush for a day of fun.  We had a sandcastle building competition on the beach followed by a competitive game of rounders.  Then we moved on to Curry’s for some adrenaline inducing fun followed by chips for lunch.  We took the train back to Coleraine where Mrs Hyndman gave us use of First Coleraine Presbyterian Church Hall for a time of worship and learning lead by Miss Newton and Lucy Allen, Youth Worker from Millbrook Nazarene.  She told us how to survive summer we needed to find time for God, wrap ourselves in God's promises and find time to rest so we could be refreshed and ready to face another school year.  We played lots of silly games and enjoyed some sweet treats before heading back home on the train.
